Pool Party 2015

Thanks to everyone who came out to our patient appreciation pool party this year. We partied it up with swimming, cotton candy, shaved ice, contests, and our giant prize wheel of course! Just our way of saying thank you for so many years of shared smiles together. Our patients truly are are #1!

All About Mouth Guards

With summer in full swing, it's a good time to give some tips on mouth guards! Beautiful smiles are worth protecting.

If you or your Graf Ortho patients participate in organized sports, you may already get reminders from Coach to wear a mouth guard. But it's a good idea to wear one in ANY activity where your face could potentially come in contact with something--another player, sports equipment, the pavement, anything! Injuries in these activities can be extremely painful and costly, so we encourage our patients to take a preventative approach that can help you avoid or lessen the severity of these types of injuries.

There are three options when it comes to choosing a mouth guard.

During orthodontic treatment, we recommend using the boil-and-bite option, as teeth are shifting position so often. You can then reform it once the braces are off and have a guard that fits your brand new smile! These can be purchased at most sporting goods stores. Check the label before buying to be sure you've found a design that can be used with braces.

Make sure to take good care of the mouth guard by washing and storing it properly, and replacing it when you see signs of wear.

Be safe out there and have a fun summer!

Another Successful Angel Tree

Every year in December we invite our patients to join with us in providing Christmas for several local families who would otherwise go without during the holiday season. We set up the Angel Tree in our front desk area and throughout the month patients and their families select 'angels' from the tree and buy an item such as snow boots, a toy, or a pair of pants to contribute to a nice Christmas morning for kids and their parents. Our staff members choose angels too, and by the time we are ready to close up for Christmas break our tree is overflowing with holiday cheer. We all work together to provide something really special for families in our area, and we want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in 2013 and helped us give three families a Christmas celebration we hope they will never forget. It is touching to see these selfless gifts of service!

Thanks for your generosity!

Play Day in October!

Here at Graf Orthodontics, we strive to deliver the best orthodontic results and customer service possible. The field is always advancing and we want to be on the cusp of it! To help us achieve this, we have a staff meeting every month where we meet together and talk about how we can best meet the needs of our patients. What new advances have been made that should be implemented in our office? What calendar events are coming up? How does the schedule need to be changed to accommodate the needs of the practice? We want everything about our office to be as perfect as our patients' smiles!

Three times a year, we have a fun activity after staff meeting. This month it included arcade games and laser tag at Nickel City in Orem! Nothing says team building like a fast-paced game of laser tag.
